Meet our Friendly & Competent Staff

Amy L. Kidd, VMD

Dr. Amy Kidd has been in small animal private practice since her graduation from the University of  Pennsylvania in 1998.  She is a native of the greater Philadelphia area, growing up in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, and attending Muhlenberg College in Allentown prior to veterinary school. While a student at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Kidd’s interest in critical and emergent care was fostered and is still with her today. A strong proponent of cutting-edge medicine, Dr. Kidd prides herself in her ability to deliver high quality preventive medicine and perform both routine and emergency surgeries.  Now, she is excited to be able to provide these services for the patients and their owners at Pocopson Veterinary Station.

Practicing in this immediate area for greater than eleven years has enabled Dr. Kidd to form strong relationships with many of the specialists and referral centers in this region. If intensive or emergency care is needed, these relationships will allow a rapid and smooth referral process.  She has also dedicated countless hours to the Chester County SPCA to help sick, injured, and abandoned animals in the area.

Since 2000 Dr. Kidd has lived in Unionville with her husband, Greg Suplick, and their three dogs, Dharma, Gibson, and Nick.  She also has two young cats, Popeye and Clarence, and a 22 year old kitty named Alfalfa.  Dr. Kidd is the proud mother to three adorable children, 8 year old Emilea, 6 year old Noah, and 4 year old Nathaniel.

Hilary Fordyce, VMD

Dr. Hilary Fordyce, a native of Carlisle, Massachusetts, moved to Pennsylvania after graduating from Kenyon College.   She gained Pennsylvania residency to attend veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania.   After graduating in 1996, she went into private practice and later returned to the University of Pennsylvania to do a rotating internship in small animal medicine and Dr. Hilary Fordycesurgery.  After completing her internship she continued on to do a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in the PennHiP laboratory followed by further training in surgery.  Dr. Fordyce maintained a concurrent interest in Emergency/Critical Care and later continued on to work in a busy specialty hospital as an emergency doctor.
She is excited about the opportunity to transition her 14 years of experience and training into practicing high quality medicine and surgery at Pocopson Veterinary Station.
Dr. Fordyce has been a resident of Unionville since 1998 and currently lives with her 3-year-old daughter Lucy, Rhodesian Ridgeback Bella, and their two cats George and Smarty Jones.  When Dr. Fordyce is not working or playing with her daughter she can be found riding/competing her horse Sam.

Ashley Forsythe

Ashley Ashley Forsythe brings to Pocopson Veterinary Station eight years of veterinary hospital experience.  She grew up and went to school in Chester County, and still calls Chester County her home.  Ashley feels very fortunate to be working in a field for which she has such a passion!  This will be one of the first things you notice along with her infectious smile as you walk through the front door.  She resides in Thorndale with her husband and their baby daughter Ava. They also share their home with four pets- Joey, a yellow lab mix; Phoebe, a German Sheppard mix; and two cats- Chandler and Allie. Ashley has become a mom to all of her pets, who were strays, and she fell in love with them right away.  They are lucky to have found a great home and we are lucky to have Ashley as part of our team.
